I've been so tired lately but haven't felt it's right to complain. Bink has been working 12.5 to 14 hour days daily in Princeton, which is a 1h 1/2 drive from here, both ways. So after working for 12 hours he gets to drive home for almost 2 hours. He says he's doing it because we need sweet sweet monies for TIESTO in Van next week. It makes sense, but I come home to a cold and lonely house till five hours later. We haven't gotten to eat supper together in almost two weeks unless we get fast food, as he worked all weekend to get additional hours too.
Halloween was alright, I was sad for most of the day because I missed Bink and my dad, of all people. Bink and I had a really good talk about it because the man was an asshole and yet I get really needy during certain parts of the year and miss him lots. I've explained it to Bink that I feel I get a lot of weird personality eccentricities from him and I never got to talk to him about it. He has never known me as an adult truly and I wish I could talk to him now about somethings. He got me into musicals, and sci fi, and singing, and acting, drama, video-games and other things that are huge for me. My mom isn't into ANY of that, so that leaves a lot for us NOT to talk about.
So then I went out in my Lizzie Borden costume. It turns out that one of the moms at the preschool worked the coat check at the bar that night. Awesome. I'm trying to take some Vitamin D so that I'm not so sad/tired all the time, and so we will see how that helps.
Well hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work I go.

Coincidence or....?

Ok... So today I decided to use audacity to amplify and slow down the evp I think I caught. I did that, and when slowed, it sounds more like "I do not care" rather than "I did not die". BUT, that's not what I'm weirded out about. I called someone I know and trust to make a sane judgment, and when I had mentioned the evp on the phone to her, she listened, and when I told her about the two possibilities of what I thought it said, the phone cut off, just literally cut off. I tried calling her back, but her number wouldn't go through. I called a family member to see if I could call out, and I got ahold of him, but when I tried to call her back, her phone number wouldn't register for about 3 minutes. So I finally called back again, and it went to her answering machine. I find it very odd that I was talking about the evp and then that happened... so I wonder, coincidence, or something more? It is quite possible I am reading too much into things, but a part of me can't help but think, "what if".
Side note: I didn't realize I was shaking until I was writing this, and when I paused in typing I noticed my hands were shaking. Quite odd for me, I think I was actually scared for a few seconds.

I've never posted here before because although I'm really interested in paranormal-ness, I haven't had too many experiences myself. Well, last night some friends and I decided to try out the Ouija board for Halloween. I'd never successfully used a Ouija board before (I'd tried it before where I'd ask if there was anyone there and it would go to "g" and stop). But tonight we had a lot of luck. First we got a 70 year old woman who kept spelling out jibberish. We got kinda silly at that point and asked her if she liked the Beatles. She said no. We asked her why not. She spelled out "they suck". It spelled out some more jibberish and then went to goodbye so we decided to take a break. A couple people left so there were only four of us and we decided to try again. We asked if someone would like to speak with us. It said yes. We asked what his/her name was. It spelled Hemingway. We asked how old he was and he said 106 but wouldn't say when he was born. We asked if there was something he wanted to tell us and he said no so we asked if he just wanted to chat and he said yes. I said we were happy to talk and introduced everyone, refering to myself as Nichs. It went to no then spelled out "you are Nichole". That freaked me out a little, because my real name is Nichole but I mostly go by Nichs (pronounced nix) these days. I asked if he was from around here and he started spelling taco but then the board got bumped so I asked if he was from Tacoma (I live in Olympia, WA). He spelled out furmit. Then he randomly spelled out flute. I asked if he liked music and he said yes. I asked what kind and he said dj. Then it started to get a little weird. It started spelling out random letters again-hxelitfgetouthemte but at the time we didn't realize it said "get out". We asked if it was speaking english and it said yes so we asked if it was using shorthand and it said yes. Then it spelled "get out". At that point we imediately stopped the conversation. Oh, and also Jonathan (my boyfriend and one of the people who was doing this with us) looked some stuff up and found a court case from 106 years ago involving someone named Hemingway.

Some truth to myths about this season?

I always thought the idea that the membrane between the world of the living and the "spirit world" wore thin around this time of the year was silly, but occurrences of late have me questioning this assumption.
We have a ghost in our house that we call "Phyllis" because that was the name of the woman who died here, and it usually likes to hang out in our guest room, which was Phyllis' room while she was alive. She has been pretty dormant for several years - I would say the peak of the activity was from 1999-2002/3 or so.
Lately, though - she is EVERYWHERE, doing really bizarre (sometimes funny) things. My sister and I woke up one morning to see a weird tableau in our bathroom - somehow, a towel had been arranged on the floor in a sort of nest, and a plastic palm tree that was from the cage of my sister's dead hermit crab was placed in the middle of it. Phyllis had never done anything quite like that before - she usually doesn't physically rearrange things, other than nudging photos hanging on our walls askew, etc.
Last night she was raising hell, making a ton of noise at around 2:30 in the morning. Everyone in my family heard this very rhythmic , loud banging from somewhere downstairs (much like a consistent jazz drum beat). I finally verbally asked for her to stop (using the name "Phyllis") and that worked. Ten minutes later, however, it started again, except about a foot from where I was sleeping and very quiet, much like fingernails tapping on the wall. I think she was deliberately trying to freak me out/tease me, which she has a long history of.
This activity started around a month ago. Have any of you noticed an increase in activity lately?

I've been pondering and would like to know what you guys think. Hopefully this isn't a recycled topic here. How can things like footsteps and voices or other such things happen when ghosts aren't 'solid' or don't have voiceboxes or lungs to make sound. I'm not saying I don't believe, just wondering what your theories are.

I stubbed my toe tonight so hard that the nail lifted away from the toe itself and now reminds me every 5 seconds with a dull ache. I was bleeding everywhere so I had to raid Bink's collection of Hello Kitty and Spongebob band aids. I shall be burned brutally for that error. I have had quite a few mini meltdowns today, the most recent being that Gomez escaped and was gone for 3 hours. He's home now, 
and he seems to be fine other than the fact he was covered in spiderwebs and other gakk. I tried to cuddle him instantly but he whined to be put down so he could eat some food before he started mewing and purring and looking for some lovin. I'm a little mad at him right now, and so I only gave him a few cuddles. How did he get out some may wonder, and that can be explained as a lead in from the spiderwebs! About a week ago, a friend was over and noticed that there was strange, fine webbing all over some of the main frawns I couldn't figure out where the bad-ass spider was that caused them... but tonight Bink explained I couldn't see them because they were BABY SPIDERS. HUNDREDS OF THEM. I almost vomited at the thought. I hate spiders, more than anything else, so hundreds of baby spiders are no better.
